It was built in 1830 and has deep roots in the city's history. Today, it sits at the center of a beloved tourist attraction. Along with great food, The Old Mill in Pigeon Forge is also known for fun souvenirs. Take home some beautiful works of art at Pigeon River Pottery. The shop was founded in 1954 and is located in what used to be a tobacco house. As visitors browse around, they can watch the skilled artisans at work as they turn mounds of clay into vases, bowls, and mugs. The items make great souvenirs as well as gifts for loved ones back home. Other shops in the area that have fun souvenirs and gifts include The Old Mill General Store and Sassafrass.
3. Old Forge Distillery
Adult guests will love visiting the Old Forge Distillery! They make delicious spirits out of fresh mountain water and stone-ground grains. These ingredients are combined using old-fashioned methods of the 18th century. Choose from unique moonshine flavors, such as Oatmeal Cookie, Chocolate, and Bananas Foster. They also make cream liqueurs as well. The collection includes Chocolate Coconut, Peanut Butter Cream, and more. If you want something more basic though, get a refreshing bottle of bourbon, whiskey, gin, or rum. It is safe to say that there is something for everyone! During your visit to the Old Forge Distillery, have samples of the spirits in the Tasting Room or try them in a cocktail at the Cocktail Bar!
